A natural artist since birth, Pegee 13 has been writing rhymes since the tender age of 15, after a feeble attempt at learning the guitar. Of course, his lyrical content at the time consisted of little more than graffiti references, alcohol tolerance braggadocio, and vagina jokes.
By the time he was 18 Pegee had developed exponentially, but still kept his skills to himself (looking like Opie and living at home wasn’t very “hip-hop” then). Eventually after doing some logos for Frontline (Destro, Nyqwil, and Snafu) Pegee decided to test the waters and see what they thought of his flow. Apparently, the Opie thing didn’t matter much, because he was rocking shows with them within weeks.
Soon Pegee would be doing his own sets alongside fellow Frontline disciple Anaxogorus and earning opening spots for Living Legends, Anticon, and Kool Kieth.
In the years since, Pegee has shifted his focus towards production, but still has popped up with the occasional 16 bar verse on various tracks. He has produced songs for Sleep’s Riot By Candlelight, Snafu’s Time Capsule, Chicharones’ Boss Hogs EP, Anaxagorus’ U Wanted?, and Grayskul’s Thee Adventures.
Pegee is currently working on projects with Destro, Nyqwil, Snafu, Sleep, JFK, Syndel, Siren’s Echo, Inhalant (Barfly & Hyena), & his tentatively untitled, imaginary art-rock band.
His interests include: Pabst Blue Ribbon, his beautiful wife Sarita, and free money (in no particular order)
